Invited competition for the new “Winzervillen” development

The Winzervillen are located in one of the most attractive areas of Merano, surrounded by greenery and in close proximity to the city centre. The project design reflects both the closeness to nature and the relationship to the local vineyards, which are terraced into the surrounding landscape. Through the terraced arrangement of the individual buildings, generous outdoor areas, and extensive green spaces, the proposal creates privacy, light-filled interiors, and tranquil retreats immersed in nature.

The competition entry comprises 11 villas, whose flexibly designed floor plans can be configured and sold as 16 residential units, as well as one condominium building with 6 residential units and 7 holiday apartments.
Like a good wine, the project is intended to convince through its simplicity and elegance.
