SomVita Suites
The original 3-star establishment received a completely new orientation and, following both qualitative and quantitative expansion, was elevated to a 4-star superior category. It was also granted a restaurant license and a new bar area.
By using a carefully coordinated selection of materials and colours, and through deliberate façade articulation, the length of the building volume is visually broken up. A conscious “system” of recessed loggias was developed to ensure privacy and spatial quality, while also creating a homogeneous overall volume and avoiding projecting balconies and separating balcony walls.
A key highlight of the renovation is the newly created spa area with a sky pool, located on the top floor and offering exceptional panoramic views across the valley.
The highly delicate, dark-toned timber slat cladding provides an intriguing interplay of light and shadow, ensuring both effective interior shading and dynamic outward views. The dark colour of the structure continues the aesthetic of the existing dark-textured plaster on the central volume.
The V-shaped timber slats, mirrored within their own geometry, integrate the corporate design of the redefined hotel in an abstract manner, lending the building a strong sense of visual identity and recognizability.
