At a spectacular height of 3,265 metres above sea level, two panoramic elevators with a stairwell and a panoramic platform were built at the existing Punta Rocca mountain station of the Marmolada cable car.
The elevators, with a total capacity of 80 people, transport visitors and skiers directly from the cable car station over four floors down to the glacier or up to the 360-degree panoramic platform.
The glass and steel construction allows for stunning views of the glacier during the elevator ride.
All construction materials had to be transported via the cable car.
