Invited competition: New construction of a pharmacy with medical centre in the city centre

To maintain the continuity of the streetscape, the structure was aligned with the existing building line. The façade design, which divides the volume into different segments, adopts the proportions of the surrounding neighbouring buildings.

The façades open up towards the viewer and literally invite you to enter. Like the surrounding buildings, the façades are designed as punched-windows façades, whereby the rather closed street façade gives the building a sculptural and striking character. The glazed ground floor area emphasises the inviting effect of the pharmacy.

The recessed entrance area also creates a spacious, covered area that’s protected from rain and snow and shields the entrances to the pharmacy and medical centre. The entrance is also orientated towards the new bus stop.
